Grading And Abbreviations

RECORD GRADING
Each auction and set sale item lists Record ID number, Artist,Title,Label,Condition, and whether or not it is a Disc Jockey or promotional copy for 45’s, or Stereo or Mono LP 33 R.P.M. record. There will be a Price for set sale items and Minimum bid on some auction items, and comments, some items with two sets of comments. All bids or set sale purchases are in U.S.Dollars. Every record is an original issue for the label stated unless noted. I've listed an explanation of my grading system, followed by abbreviations you will commonly encounter.

GRADING CODES
SS (33 RPM LP'S ONLY) = Still sealed, in factory fresh condition.
M = Mint: I rarely use this grade, but it is as close to perfect as you can get when I do.
M- = Most often a probably unplayed disc, may have very minor imperfections.
VG++ = Very Clean, just a small step below Mint minus and better than VG+
VG+ = Well cared for, but slightly used record. A few minor surface scratches, but nothing deep.
VG = Very Good: A record that has shown some considerable wear but still plays well.
VG- = Very Good Minus: Significant wear and usually quite noticeable surface noise.
G+ = Good Plus: In the record collecting world, good isn't good! Anything less than G+ is beat up.

ABBREVIATIONS
CO = drill hole in 45 rpm label or 33 rpm label and or cover.
WOC = writing on cover(for 33 rpm LP's or EP's)
CW = cover wear in the case of 33 rpm LP's
SL CW = slight cover wear in the case of 33 rpm LP's or EP's
PS = picture sleeve (for 45's)

Shipping And Payment

SHIPPING AND PAYMENT

SHIPPING: U.S. CUSTOMERS:AUCTIONS AND SET SALES:
Unless I hear from you as to your specific requests, I will figure Media (Book Rate) postage. $3.00 will cover from one to about six or seven 45's. If you want to insure the package for up to $50 value, it can be insured for an optional additional $1.30 in the USA.If the package is worth more, the insurance will be higher. If you won in an auction or ordered only one or two 45’s, then I probably will send that one first class in the U.S. If you won in an auction or ordered more than 8 or 9 45's the postage and insurance will vary of course. Feel free to contact me if you have any specific concerns. For LP's, usually $4 will cover one LP shipped in the U.S. Insurance additional and optional. Usually one LP weighs roughly as much as ten 45's. One thing that will help is if you specify your choice of postage when bidding in the auctions or ordering from the set sale lists (Media Rate, First Class or Priority).

CANADIAN CUSTOMERS: AUCTIONS AND SET SALES:
Unless I hear a different request from you, I will figure Small Packet Air Mail as the difference in costs between Surface and Airmail from the U.S. and Canada is really small. One 45 rpm shipped Airmail typically costs $4. One LP would run $6. With multiple records the cost goes down per record.Again, feel free to contact me if the postage is of any concern.

OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS:AUCTIONS AND SET SALES:
Air Small Packet is the most frequent choice of overseas customers, typically one 45 would cost $6, except $7 to Japan or Australia. For 33 rpm LP's, one would cost $13. For more than one to many records, the cost decreases per record. Again, feel free to contact me if there are any concerns. These postage rates are approximate and can be less expensive for large orders. Feel free to contact me with any questions. If you prefer Surface Mail to Air, just say so and I will adjust the rates accordingly.

PAYMENT
U.S. CUSTOMERS: Pay Pal(which takes VISA and Mastercard, as well as from your cash "bank type" account there), money orders, cash (safely secured), personal check (may take time to clear if I don't know you). If you are not familiar with PayPal, you can go to

www.paypal.com

OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS: PayPal, Money orders, cash(secured and preferably registered)
