From a website posting, Florida record collector Jeff Lemlich stated that this group originated from Florida but migrated to upstate New York during this particular phase of the group's history.

BAND OF GOLD		"HER LOVE" BAND OF GOLD MUMMP 11		Category 47 | Detroit Michigan area band led by songwriter and lead singer Louis Cingolani, the year was 1967. Nice ballad with group backing. Louis was kind enough to get in touch with me by phone in May 2009 to talk about the old days performing at the Mummp teen club in Detroit as the Sandpipers and his association with other vocal groups of that era such as the Shades Of Blue.
