Category 45 | Medium slow Beach Boys styled sound from 1966. The Breakers were actually the Wailers, from my home town of Tacoma Washington. Ron Gardner wrote the song. This was later released on the more widely distributed Jerden label.

Category 45 | Flip side of "Weekend", this is a nice Beach Boys styled ballad in the early 1960's style.Written and produced by Mike O'Rourke. One Japanese blog page has this group connected somehow with Jeffrey Foskett, but I haven't found any other evidence of that.

Category 45 | Umptempo early 1960's Beach Boys styled record which was probably recorded in the 1970's. The writer and producer of both sides is Mike O'Rourke. Click here for an article from the Nye County Nevada Pahrump Valley Times in 2007 which mentions this group.

PHIL AND THE FLAKES![]() |

Category 45 | From Newport Beach California, this is a medium fast surf teen rocker from 1964. The son of a successful southern California urologist, Phil Pearlman later recorded "The Beat Of The Earth", which is more experimental like the Velvet Underground type music. Being an early to mid 1960's Beach Boys style music fan, this is the one release I like quite a bit by him.

Category 45 | Medium tempo teen surf vocal from 1964 or 1965. This is the brother of Paul Simon, according to a note I received from co-songwriter Athena Hosey's sister in June 2009 in response to my letter of inquiry. This is also collaborated by researcher Fred Clemens who forwarded this to me in 2006. Click here to read it.
