BREAKERS
RIVERTON 102
Category 45 | Medium slow Beach Boys styled sound from 1966. The Breakers were actually the Wailers, from my home town of Tacoma Washington. Ron Gardner wrote the song. This was later released on the more widely distributed Jerden label.

"CHROME REVERSED RAILS"
PHIL AND THE FLAKES
FINK 1010
Category 45 | From Newport Beach California, this is a medium fast surf teen rocker from 1964. The son of a successful southern California urologist, Phil Pearlman later recorded "The Beat Of The Earth", which is more experimental like the Velvet Underground type music. Being an early to mid 1960's Beach Boys style music fan, this is the one release I like quite a bit by him.

TORNADO 1007
Category 45 | Medium tempo teen surf vocal from 1964 or 1965. This is the brother of Paul Simon, according to a note I received from co-songwriter Athena Hosey's sister in June 2009 in response to my letter of inquiry. This is also collaborated by researcher Fred Clemens who forwarded this to me in 2006. Click here to read it.
