Category 35 | Nice medium tempo country teen crossover from the early 1960's. Freddie Beach was once with country great Hank Williams. He also owned this Mobile Alabama based Summit label. Category 35 | From Jacksonville Florida, this country crossover teen ballad by Fred Bible is a great example of that genre of music from the year 1962. Fred Bible sent me a brief email in May 2005 asking me how I found his record and thanking me for the memories of being able to hear his song again.

Category 35 | Medium tempo teen country crossover sound released on the Dolton label late 1965 or 1966 but could very well been recorded earlier. The original version was recorded in 1961 as the flip of the hit "Little Altar Boy". This later release has more of a group backup, which is why I think this is better.

Category 35 | Medium fast country teen crossover record from 1960. This was originally written and recorded by Jimmy Isle in 1958, but I like this version best. The Hope label is a subsidiary of the N.R.C. label from Atlanta Georgia. Click here for more information on Ray Melton from a former member of his band.

DOW PATTERSON![]() |

Category 35 | Great country teen crossover tune from 1960. Although the label gives an Abilene Texas address, the record was recorded at Ben Hall's studio in Big Spring Texas in the back of an appliance store. Dow Patterson is now an architect living in San Antonio Texas and was kind enough to get in touch with me. David Sprague was in this session as a bass player, he is John Denver's cousin.

Category 35 | Dow Patterson sent me this unreleased tune, another great country teen crossover sound recorded in the same session as "Faded Summer Love". Dow went to architecture school at Texas Tech with singer John Denver and Denver's cousin David Sprague, the latter was in on this session too. Click here for another picture of Dow.
